This page explains how to set up Microsoft Outlook 2010 to send and receive e-mail for an e-mail mailbox you’ve created. These instructions create a “POP” connection using SSL security.

Please be sure to have your full email address and password handy.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File

  3. Click the Account Settings button

  4. Select the Account Settings button from the drop-down

  5. Click New …

  6. Click Manually configure server settings or additional server types, then click Next >

  7. Click Internet E-mail, then click Next >

  8. Enter the following information:
    1. Your name
    2. Enter your email address
    3. Select POP for the account type.
    4. Enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers: mail.yourdomain.com.
    5. Enter your email address into the User Name field
    6. Enter your password

  9. Click More Settings …

  10. Click the Outgoing Server tab

  11. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then click OK

  12. Click Finish
